Lynne Robinson is co-founder and director of Body Control Pilates Education (for whom she lectures on training courses for new teachers and on specialist courses for qualified teachers) and of the Body Control Pilates Association, Europe’s largest professional body for Pilates teachers (approximately 1,400 teaching members). Her latest book (Pilates for Life) was published in the UK in 2014 by Kyle Books, while the Pilates Bible continues to retain its position as the world's best-selling Pilates book. Lynne's most recent DVD ('Inch Loss Pilates') has, as with her other DVDs, received excellent reviews. Lynne has also been featured extensively in the media for her work with Liz Hurley during the latter’s pregnancy. Her current and past clients include Sophie Dahl, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Hollie Willoughby, Hugh Grant, Pat Cash, Kyran Bracken, the Football Association and the England Cricket Team. Workshop 1: 13:00 bis 17:30 Uhr - Better Bone Health - 4 Stunden inklusive 30 min Pause
1 in 2 women over the age of 50 will suffer a bone fracture related to poor bone density. Osteoporosis is a silent disease and it should not be ignored! In this workshop, part theory, part practical, we will look at both osteopenia and osteoporosis, discussing DEXA scan results and common fracture sites. Lynne will convey the latest UK exercise guidelines and discuss how this impacts our teaching when working with osteoporotic clients. In the practical we will identify some key Body Control Pilates exercises to promote bone health.

Workshop 2: 08:30 bis 12:15 Uhr - Postnatal: The Role of Pilates in helping repair a Diastasis Recti and Pelvic floor problems - 3,5 Stunden inklusive 15 min Pause
In this workshop part theory, part practical, we will discuss what constitutes a diastasis recti: the main risk factors and how to assess the divide with the Rectus Check. Similarly we will discuss common pelvic floor issues. Drawing on this information we will examine how we should adapt our Pilates teaching and discover if Pilates really can help. In the practical we will explore Body Control Pilates exercises which benefit the postnatal client .
Workshop 3: 13:00 bis 14:30 Uhr - Better Mental Health - 1,5 Stunden
It is very easy to forget that Pilates is both mind and body conditioning. In this workshop we will look at the more common mental health problems, such as Depression and General Anxiety Disorder. We will discuss what a fantastic job you, as Pilates teachers, are already doing to help your client's mental health and then discuss ways we can, perhaps, help further. The workshop will conclude with a relaxing Body Control Pilates class.
